Location: The Turrialba Valley lies 40 miles east of San José, the nation\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s capital. Irrigated by the Reventazón River, the valley has been an agricultural centre for over a century. This region, with evenly distributed rains during the year, comprises a green mosaic of primary mountain forests, biological reserves, natural and human-made forests and coffee plantations. A delicate balance has been maintained between agricultural development and ecological preservation. The scenic beauty, fauna & flora diversity, along with the development of white-water rafting and kayaking make Turrialba a favourite spot for adventure tourism and scientific exploration.
 
Hotel Facilities: An aura of gracious living surrounds Casa Turire, from the wood-toned bar to the leather-appointed library/game parlour and linen-draped rattan dining room. Choose from a roster of activities, or simply enjoy the hotel grounds. There you\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'ll encounter birds such as oropendolas, parakeets and toucans as you stroll through the fruit orchards and surrounding forest trails. A swim in the spring-fed pool refreshes you before a gourmet meal in the family-sized restaurant. At your disposal are the hotel’s games room, library, pool table and tennis courts. In the Mediterranean-style dining room, enjoy fresh/organic fruits and vegetables from the plantation, along with beef and chicken entrées cooked in the traditional manner. Breakfast and lunch are à la carte, while the dinner menu offers varied selections.
