	Location: The hotel is in beautiful Monteverde, famous for its resplendent quetzals, three-wattled bellbirds, an abundance of orchids and a gorgeous cloud forest. The views of the Gulf of Nicoya from the hotel�s 1,400-metre (4,600 feet) elevation are spectacular.

	Hotel Facilities: Other services include its two elegant and spacious restaurants �La Galería and La Chimenea,� separate bar and TV room; laundry service is also available.

The Fonda Vela Hotel has nine buildings nestled in the landscaped property, designed with natural lighting, privacy and warmth. All have large windows with views of the forest, allowing the outside beauty to be a part of a cosy interior. Standard Rooms have private bath, hot water and two queen-sized beds or a king-sized bed and telephone. Most rooms are wheelchair accessible.
